Twenty-five seconds, start to finish
Two projects, one window. The tabs swap out, and the note you left yourself is waiting when you come back. Recorded from the SwitchCue build you can install today.
No sound at all, and no narration — nothing is missed either way. Everything in it is the shipped extension; the pages it opens are local test pages with invented names.
The same loop, written down
Nine tabs, and all of them are one job
The pointer runs along the strip looking for the one it wants. Nothing here is unusual — it is what a browser looks like by eleven o'clock, and it is why switching to something else costs more than it looks.
One keystroke opens the panel, and the tabs become a project
The side panel opens beside the tabs and stays there. The tabs in the window are listed; name them, and they are a Workspace called Acme redesign.
A second project starts in the same window
Two pages open for a blog post, and a second Workspace is made from them. The form arrives with only those two ticked — the first project's tabs are already spoken for, and taking them would be taking them away from it.
Before you go, write down where you were
Leaving one project for another is the moment the next step is most obvious and least written down. One line — Send Dana the revised estimate before 3pm — and the switch carries it.
The window changes hands
Acme redesign's tabs close, the blog's stay, and the strip along the top is visibly a different project's. Nothing was lost; it was put away.
Two keystrokes bring it all back
The tabs reopen, and above them the note is waiting — with the page you were last on named underneath it, ready to carry on from.
Mark it done, and write the next one
Tick it off and the field is already open for whatever comes after it. That is the whole loop, and it is the same loop every day.
Try it on one project
Make a Workspace from the tabs you have open right now. If it is not for you, uninstalling removes everything it stored.
